NORDICA Ostrava offers 12,000 m2 of quality office space in the center of Ostrava. Designed in accordance with Scandinavian trends, it reflects the quality and sensitive approach to the environment.

NORDICA places the emphasis on ecology as the first new administrative center, as evidenced by the GreenBuilding certification from the European Commission, which was the first in the Czech Republic to save energy. Based on the calculation, the building has a 30% lower energy consumption than the Czech standards.

We entered the project as a project partner of the Swedish manufacturer of FAGERHULT lamps. The spirit of the project was energy efficiency and clean Scandinavian design, quality materials and responsible access to the environment. Our task was to evaluate the old project and to design the lighting solution of the building at the beginning of construction. We have implemented a light management system based on daylight and the presence of people in the rooms, optimized operating modes, and have used more efficient, direct / indirect 70/30 suspension lamps. We have implemented a DALI management system. The result was a 32% reduction in installed lighting power. At 85% of the building occupancy, we simulated operating modes that showed an overall reduction in power consumption of 62% compared to a standard lighting solution. We presented the results to the management of SKANSKA CZ, a.s., which approved the draft. Our task was to process the design documentation of the lighting system and to supply the necessary lighting management technology. Meaning that the building gained a very modern lighting system with a fully autonomous operation. The return on investment in intelligent lighting was 3 years of building occupancy at 85% occupancy.

At the first green building in the Czech Republic we have gained valuable experience that we are ready to pass on.
